Army Assembly
We had an excellent assembly with Josh and Aron who are soldiers in the army. We learnt a lot about what they do and also had the chance to try on uniforms and march in the hall. See the gallery for more photos.

This Friday afternoon we're holding an outdoor music festival to celebrate the end of activity week when all of our groups return from their adventures. Fingers crossed the weather is fair!
Day 1 Portugal Trip
Students have arrived in Portugal and are ready for a fun-filled week of activities. The weather is hot, hot hot!
Yesterday students in our Key Stage 4 classes sold items they had made to the rest of the school in an Easter Market. It was great to see them exchanging money for the things they had made and use functional maths skills.
In assembly we thought about the celebration of Christmas, what it means and we made Christingles from oranges, cocktail sticks, ribbon, sweets and a candle.
Great news as Lancaster School finished in 2nd place in the Essex Special Schools Panathlon yesterday, missing out on 1st place by 1 point! We were commended on our sportsmanship, our spirit and how much we enjoyed the experience. Organisers were also impressed with how we were presented and complimented our yellow shirts. There will be an article released on the Panathlon website in due course where Henry and his parents were interviewed for their opinions on the event.

We are pleased to announce that on Monday 11th July our new Key Stage 4 Classrooms were opened by Darcey our youngest student and Anna Firth MP - we are really excited about using them in the Autumn term.
